Multiple fatal road accidents across Brazil in early June

A series of serious road accidents occurred in Brazil during the first week of June.

On the BR‑364 near Vista Alegre do Abunã, Porto Velho (Rondônia), a collision between a truck and a passenger car killed four occupants and left a fifth seriously injured.

On the BR‑354 in Arcos, Minas Gerais, a family car overturned, injuring the mother and a 33‑day‑old newborn; the driver was unharmed.

A head‑on collision between two trucks on the BR‑101 near Araquari, Santa Catarina, trapped a driver who died in the wreckage, while the other truck’s driver escaped injury.

In Goiás, a crash involving three trucks and a car on the GO‑436 near Cristalina sparked a large fire, killing one person who was found carbonized; two others were injured.

On the BR‑282 in the western part of Santa Catarina, a van entered the opposite lane, colliding with a car and a truck, resulting in the death of a 71‑year‑old driver and three injuries.

Other incidents included a non‑fatal collision between a truck and a car in Mongaguá, São Paulo, and two unrelated deaths in the Cariri region (a traffic accident in Assaré and an electric shock in Aurora).
