Truck Drivers Union reaches 6.6% wage agreement in Argentina

The Sindicato de Choferes de Camiones, led by Hugo Moyano, has reached a collective bargaining agreement with freight sector business chambers for the period between September 2026 and February 2027.

The agreement establishes a cumulative 6.6% salary increase on base scales, to be applied in four consecutive stages. This monthly adjustment remains below 2%, aligning with the inflationary deceleration projections promoted by the Ministry of Economy.

In addition to the percentage increase, the deal includes a non-remunerative fixed sum of $18,000 to be paid in September. A year-end bonus totaling $1,200,000 will also be distributed in four monthly installments starting in January 2027. The six-month agreement aims to provide cost predictability for the national transport and logistics sectors.
