Various highway accidents reported in Italy and the United States

Multiple road incidents have been reported across Italy and the United States. In Italy, a heavy truck carrying food supplies caught fire on the A50 Tangenziale Ovest near Rozzano, likely due to a tire explosion. The fire caused significant traffic congestion, with queues reaching up to nine kilometers toward Bologna. Emergency services, including NBCR specialized units, managed the scene involving a vehicle with mixed LPG and methane fuel.

On the A1 motorway, several accidents occurred. One incident between Frosinone and Anagni caused 13 kilometers of traffic jams, while another between Terre di Canossa and Reggio Emilia left five people injured, including two minors. Additionally, a 32-year-old German woman was arrested after driving wrong-way for approximately 50 kilometers on the A1 Panoramica while under the influence of cannabis, leading to a 40-minute police pursuit and technical closures of the highway.

In the United States, a runaway truck in Saxon, Wisconsin, struck a gas pipeline at an Enbridge construction site. The collision caused a significant natural gas leak, prompting authorities to evacuate nearby homes and establish a no-fly zone over the area. No injuries were reported in the Wisconsin incident.
