Truck fire on Milan's Tangenziale Ovest causes traffic delays

A truck fire occurred on the Tangenziale Ovest in Milan near the Vigevanese-Lorenteggio exit on Friday morning. The flames primarily affected the trailer of the heavy vehicle, leaving it heavily damaged, while the tractor unit remained uninvolved. No injuries or intoxications were reported.

The incident caused significant traffic disruptions, including a four-kilometer queue in the southbound direction. This marks the second truck fire on the Tangenziale Ovest in recent days, following a similar incident near the Rozzano-Quinto de’ Stampi exit last Monday. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
