Truck overturns in Oman tunnel, narrowly missing SUV

A heavy truck overturned inside the second Wadi Al Aq tunnel on the Sultan Turki bin Said Road in Oman. The incident occurred as the vehicle was negotiating a curve, causing it to slide on its side and scrape the road surface, creating a trail of sparks.

An SUV traveling directly ahead of the truck narrowly avoided a collision. The driver of the SUV managed to accelerate away just as the truck lost balance and overturned behind them.

The Royal Oman Police responded to the scene and temporarily diverted traffic traveling from the North Al Sharqiyah Governorate toward Muscat to an old road to ensure safety while clearing debris. Authorities have not yet confirmed the cause of the accident, though investigations are ongoing to determine if speeding or mechanical failure played a role. No official information regarding injuries to the truck driver or other motorists has been released.
