Truck theft leads to rollover on Saltillo-Monterrey highway

A man allegedly stole an unattended, running tractor-trailer near a toll booth on the Saltillo-Monterrey highway in Santa Catarina, Nuevo León. The incident occurred when the driver stopped briefly to dispose of trash but left the engine running.

The driver attempted to stop the vehicle by hanging onto the window, but was unsuccessful. The stolen dry van truck, which was carrying vehicle spare parts, traveled a short distance before the driver lost control at kilometer 85, resulting in a rollover that spilled the cargo. The National Guard arrived to secure the scene.
