Trucks knock down trees in Spain and Mexico
In Alcalá, Spain, a large tree fell onto Avenida de la Constitución around 12:30 PM on Monday after being accidentally struck by a truck performing professional duties. Local police secured the perimeter and regulated traffic while municipal services worked to clear the roadway. No injuries or personal damages were reported.
In Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, Mexico, a 3.5-ton cargo truck partially knocked down a tree on Zaragoza Street. The driver fled the scene without stopping to address the damage. The tree remained partially suspended by telephone cables, prompting local residents to use cones to restrict traffic. Municipal Civil Protection arrived to cut the trunk into sections with a chainsaw to remove the hazard and clear the road.
