Štrudlafest festival returns to Jaškovo in September 2026

The Štrudlafest festival is scheduled to take place in Jaškovo, near Ozalj, on September 5 and 6, 2026. The two-day event features a mix of gastronomic, cultural, and outdoor activities.

A central highlight is the competition for the best strudla in Croatia, which will include a unique challenge involving both sweet and savory strudlas made with beer in collaboration with Medvedgrad Brewery. Other cultural activities include the selection of the ‘Zlatna baka’ (Golden Grandmother) and workshops for traditional ceramics, licitar hearts, and lace making at ‘Dvorište tete Marice’.

In collaboration with the Nikola Tesla Experience Center Karlovac, a Tesla corner will be featured. The festival also promotes local tourism through guided activities such as ‘Štrudla by bike’ cycling tours, kayaking on the Dobra River, and hiking. Additional local attractions include the Aquatika freshwater aquarium and traditional grain boats in Brođani.
