True Hope Foundation provides flood relief in Bihar’s Bhagalpur
The True Hope Foundation has launched relief operations in the Bhagalpur district of Bihar to assist families impacted by recent flooding. The organization was among the first to reach certain areas when water levels were between 5 and 5.5 feet deep. Due to a lack of boats, team members navigated the floodwaters by swimming and using local means to reach those in need.
During the initial two days of the operation, the foundation provided support to approximately 150 families. Distributed items included 20-kg ration kits containing rice, sugar, and atta, as well as clothing, sarees, and sanitary napkins for women. For children, the foundation provided stationery kits, water bottles, and food items such as chocolates.
Director Kuldeep Khatri stated that the focus is to provide essential supplies and immediate support to communities rebuilding their lives. The foundation is continuing to assess needs on the ground and is maintaining a crowdfunding campaign to support ongoing relief efforts.
