Haleon Japan to launch new Schmitect periodontal care toothpaste

Haleon Japan K.K. has announced the launch of ‘Schmitect Periodontal Plus EX Premium’, a new toothpaste designed to address multiple oral health concerns. Scheduled for release on August 24, 2026, the product features a maximum concentration of periodontal care ingredients, including CPC and Vitamin E, to target bacteria and maintain healthy gums. It is formulated to provide ten different functions in one product, including sensitivity relief, whitening, and breath freshening.

The launch comes amid a growing market for specialized oral care, particularly for consumers in their 40s and 50s who face increasing needs for periodontal and sensitivity management. To support the launch, a new television commercial featuring Eiko Koike will begin airing on September 17, 2026.

Other regional updates include the opening of a special website for the ‘MIDNIGHT GIII x HPCJC TIPSTAR Cup’ keirin racing event in Ito, Shizuoka, and the announcement of the ‘Keirin World Series 2026’ ninth round at Gifu Velodrome. In Miyazaki Prefecture, Kunitomi Town is hosting a German youth sports delegation for cultural exchange and organizing the ‘Hokagake Kendo Tournament’ at Arena Kunitomi in November. Additionally, Bushiroad is sponsoring a digital stamp rally for Hanshin Tigers fans via Daily Sports Online.
