Trueo to migrate prediction market from Base to Ethereum

Trueo, a prediction market protocol, has announced plans to migrate its operations from the Base Layer-2 network to the Ethereum mainnet. The protocol cited Ethereum’s superior liquidity, network effects, decentralization, and integration potential as primary drivers for the move. The decision received public endorsement from Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin.

The migration follows discussions regarding the technical infrastructure required for prediction markets, specifically concerning oracle design. Buterin has advocated for the use of decentralized, non-financialized oracles and private attester voting systems to prevent large investors from exerting pressure on market outcomes.

Trueo utilizes an optimistic oracle with a permissionless dispute mechanism and a Yearn-powered USDC vault to allow users to accrue yield on capital while maintaining open market positions.
