Trump Accuses Russia of Interfering in US Election, Kremlin Refutes

U.S. President Donald Trump alleged that Russia, alongside China, Iran and North Korea, is capable of compromising the American electoral infrastructure and claimed that Chinese actors obtained data on about 220 million U.S. voters. He said declassified intelligence documents show foreign powers could target election databases.

Russian Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov rejected the accusations, stating they are based on "unidentified and unverified information" and that all U.S. investigations have found no evidence of Russian interference in recent elections. Peskov emphasized that Russia does not meddle in the internal affairs of other countries and urged respect for Russian sovereignty.
