Trump advisers donate Bosnian consulting fees to presidential library
Chris LaCivita and James Blair, senior advisers to Donald Trump, have donated six-figure consulting fees earned from work in Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Trump presidential library.
The duo, who hold prominent roles at the MAGA Inc. super PAC, provided advisory services to the ruling party in the ethnically Serbian Republika Srpska during a recent election. The party, led by Milorad Dodik, secured a victory. The assignment had previously drawn criticism, creating perceptions that the advisers were using their political connections for personal financial gain.
Sources indicate that Trump’s previous frustration regarding the Eastern European assignment has subsided following the donation. While the funds are being directed to the library, both LaCivita and Blair are expected to remain liable for income taxes on the earnings, which reportedly exceeded $100,000 each.
