Trump and Musk super PACs ramp up spending for 2026 midterms
Donald Trump and Elon Musk are significantly increasing spending through their respective political action committees to support Republican candidates in the 2026 midterm elections. With less than eight weeks remaining before Election Day, these major financial players are targeting key battleground states to help Republicans maintain or regain control of Congress.
Trump-affiliated No Going Back PAC Inc. has reserved over $74 million in advertising time across 15 House races and six Senate races in states including Alaska, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, New Hampshire, and Ohio. In Michigan, the PAC has focused heavily on the race between Republican Mike Rogers and Democrat Abdul El-Sayed.
Elon Musk’s America PAC has spent more than $8 million this month, with over $6 million directed toward six Senate toss-up races. Significant investments include $2.6 million for the Texas Senate race involving Republican Ken Paxton and Democrat James Talarico, as well as spending in Ohio, Michigan, Maine, Iowa, and Alaska. Additionally, Trump’s MAGA Inc. has contributed $10 million to the Texas Senate contest, marking its largest single infusion for a general election race this year.
