Donald Trump announced several major trade and investment agreements involving South Korea, Taiwan, and Japan, aimed at bolstering U.S. energy and semiconductor sectors.

Regarding energy, Trump stated that South Korea has agreed to invest $50 billion in the Alaska LNG Project as part of a bilateral trade and investment deal. Additionally, Taiwan has committed to a $4.4 billion equity investment in the project and has pledged to purchase between $70 billion and $80 billion worth of Alaska LNG over the next 20 years, representing approximately 30% of the pipeline's supply.

In the technology sector, Trump announced a $21 billion investment from Japan to fund the construction of two new semiconductor manufacturing facilities by GlobalFoundries in Malta, New York.
