Trump Approval Rating Peaks Since June Ahead of State of the Union

A Rasmussen Reports poll released after the State of the Union shows President Trump’s overall approval at 49%, the highest level since last June. The poll recorded 35% of respondents "strongly approve" and 38% "strongly disapprove," marking his best showing since March 2017, and indicates many Americans believe he is more likely to keep his promises than previous presidents.

Separately, a typo on the State of the Union tickets—spelling the event as "State of the Uniom"—was discovered and corrected before the ceremony. The House Sergeant‑at‑Arms office reprinted the tickets and distributed the corrected versions, while several members of Congress joked about the mistake on social media.
