Trump claims Census Bureau review found 24,000 noncitizen voters in 2020 election

President Donald Trump announced that a Census Bureau review of 2020 voter records has identified over 24,000 instances of noncitizens voting illegally. According to Trump, the Bureau has completed its analysis of the first 128 million voters, and a further 32 million records are scheduled for review.

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick stated that the findings show noncitizens were not merely registered but had actually cast votes. Trump used the announcement to reiterate his claims regarding the 2020 election results and to urge Congress to pass the Save America Act to enhance election security.

Data shared by the administration indicates that of the identified noncitizen voters, approximately 3,800 were from Mexico, with others from Canada, the Philippines, Jamaica, and Germany. This follows a report from the Department of Homeland Security claiming that over 250,000 noncitizens are illegally registered to vote across California, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Nevada.
