Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps denies Trump's claims of secret communications

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has denied claims made by US President Donald Trump regarding the existence of a back-channel communication line between the US and the IRGC. Trump asserted that such a channel exists, suggesting that Iran should "wave the white flag to declare surrender."

In response, IRGC spokesperson Hossein Mohebbi dismissed the claims as "illusions and nightmares resulting from defeat and helplessness in war." The IRGC emphasized that diplomatic matters are handled by other Iranian agencies and that no such secret negotiations are occurring. The Iranian Foreign Ministry also refuted reports of unofficial contact through Iraqi Kurdistan, labeling them as psychological operations.

Concurrently, an Iranian official reported that Tehran intends to shift its strategic policy from defensive to "completely offensive" if diplomatic efforts fail. The official noted that Iran is prepared to escalate tensions in the Strait of Hormuz and the wider region. The IRGC further alleged that Trump's statements are an attempt to temporarily manipulate global oil and energy prices.
