Trump International Hung Yen project completes phase 1 land clearance

Phase 1 land clearance for the Trump International Hung Yen project has been largely completed. The 990-hectare urban, eco-tourism, and golf complex in Khoai Chau, Hung Yen, has a preliminary total investment of approximately $1.5 billion (over 40,000 billion VND).

In the first phase, approximately 566 hectares of land were recovered, affecting nearly 4,000 households in Chau Ninh commune and 720 households in Khoai Chau commune. Following the land handover, the Hung Yen Investment and Development Group has begun implementing the initial project components.

The project is divided into four functional zones: high-end golf-linked ecological residential areas, eco-golf residential areas, a commercial-service urban area, and a themed park and greenery zone. The developer, Hung Yen Investment and Development Group, is 85% owned by Kinh Bac City Development Holding Corporation (KBC), which is partnering with The Trump Organization to use the Trump International brand.

Reports from the U.S. Office of Government Ethics indicate that Donald Trump is set to receive a $5 million brand licensing fee from the Hung Yen hotel services company via DT Marks Vietnam LLC.
