Trump Media offers paid early‑access feed to Wall Street, sparking Senate criticism

Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) announced a paid data service—referred to as “Truth API” (also called Truth PSI)—that gives banks and high‑frequency trading firms the first milliseconds of access to posts on President Donald Trump’s Truth Social platform and other top accounts. The service is priced at up to $100,000 a month, with a discounted three‑year plan quoted at $60,000. Critics say the product creates a “troubling information asymmetry,” allowing Trump to profit from market‑moving presidential communications and raising conflict‑of‑interest concerns.

Senator Mark Warner, the senior Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee, wrote to the heads of six major financial‑industry trade groups urging them to reject the arrangement, stating that the financial services industry should not legitimize an arrangement that sells privileged access to market‑moving presidential communications for the president’s personal financial benefit. TMTG has not responded to requests for comment. Legal experts note that while tech platforms may offer early data feeds, the fact that Trump’s posts constitute government information makes the arrangement unusual and ethically contentious.
