Trump Media to charge $100,000 monthly for early access to Truth Social posts
Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), the owner of Truth Social, is preparing a paid data‑feed service called “Truth API.” The service would give banks, hedge funds and other Wall Street traders the fastest possible delivery of posts from the platform’s ten most influential accounts, including President Donald Trump’s account. Pricing under discussion is up to $100,000 a month, with a discounted $60,000 monthly rate for firms that sign a three‑year contract. The API is slated to launch on August 1 and will provide real‑time, machine‑readable posts with a latency advantage measured in milliseconds.
Proponents say the service could become a significant recurring revenue stream for TMTG, while critics argue that selling preferential access to market‑moving information is ethically dubious and could give paying traders an unfair edge. Past Trump posts have moved markets dramatically—for example, an April 9, 2025 post led to a sharp rise in U.S. stock indexes. The company says the new offering is intended to monetize its proprietary assets, but it has not confirmed final pricing or whether Trump’s own posts will be included.
The initiative has drawn scrutiny from U.S. lawmakers and watchdog groups, who warn that the model may benefit the Trump family financially while compromising market fairness.
