Trump Media Stock Rally Boosts Donald Trump's Net Worth by $600 Million
Shares of Trump Media & Technology Group (NASDAQ: DJT) jumped nearly 49% from their June 26 low of $6.96, lifting President Donald Trump's personal fortune by about $600 million, according to Forbes. The surge brought the DJT closing price to $10.38, valuing Trump's roughly 52% stake at about $1.49 billion.
The rally followed the July 17 launch of the Truth API, a paid service that gives institutional investors real‑time access to posts from Trump’s Truth Social platform. Interim CEO Kevin McGurn said the API targets high‑frequency traders and will cost $60,000‑$100,000 per month. Critics, including Anthony Scaramucci and economist Peter Schiff, argue the service creates an uneven playing field for retail investors.
Later trading saw the stock dip to $9.79, a 5.7% decline, after earlier opening at $10.46. The share price remains well below its 52‑week high of $18.97 but above the 52‑week low, reflecting ongoing volatility in the company’s financial performance.
