Trump Peace Board prepares Gaza military installation for Moroccan troops

The Trump Peace Board is preparing its first construction contract for a provisional military installation in Gaza. The project aims to house a small contingent of Moroccan troops as part of the International Stabilization Force (ISF), a body authorized by a United Nations resolution to assist with security and governance in the territory.

According to reports, the contract has been prepared for Arkel International, a Louisiana-based company with prior experience working for the U.S. government in Iraq. The proposed site would measure approximately 100 by 120 meters and be located in a Gaza area under direct Israeli military control, about 1.6 kilometers from the Israeli border.

This initial phase is designed to accommodate 150 personnel with temporary infrastructure such as tents, chemical toilets, and defensive berms. However, the project is part of a larger long-term plan that could eventually expand the base to hold up to 5,000 personnel. While Morocco has pledged to contribute troops, the legal framework for the ISF and the specific timeline for deployment have not yet been finalized.
