Trump rejects Iran peace offer, suggests potential increase in bombing

In a Time magazine interview, President Donald Trump indicated that his administration may increase military strikes against Iran following the November 3 midterm elections. Trump confirmed he has rejected the latest peace proposal from Tehran, noting that the offer falls short of necessary terms and that he would not accept propositions he would have dismissed a year ago.

In the Middle East, fighting has intensified in southwestern Yemen between government forces and Iran-backed Houthi rebels near Taiz City. Additionally, diplomatic tensions have risen between Iran and the United Kingdom following allegations by British Prime Minister Andy Burnham regarding a sabotage plot at RAF Fairford, a claim Iranian officials have dismissed.

Regarding Israel, Trump addressed reports suggesting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu received advance warning of the October 7 Hamas attacks from the United Arab Emirates. Trump stated he only heard of such reports recently and expressed disbelief that such a warning would have gone unaddressed if it had occurred.
