Trump shares Hillary Clinton's op-ed backing Gaza peace plan

US President Donald Trump has shared an opinion piece by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that supports his Gaza peace plan. In the article, originally published in the Financial Times, Clinton argued that despite skepticism from the international community and Europe, there is no viable alternative framework currently available to address the crisis.

Clinton stated, "If even I, an implacable opponent of the president, can accept this as the best option, then surely others can too?" She noted that the plan possesses the necessary leverage, political engagement, and resources required for implementation, warning that without such a framework, diplomatic paralysis will prevent reconstruction and Palestinian self-determination.

Trump has described his proposal as a milestone that includes the complete disarmament of Hamas and a phased withdrawal of Israeli military forces. Under the plan, an International Stabilisation Force and a new Palestinian police force would manage security, eventually transitioning administration to a new Palestinian government working with a Board of Peace.

However, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected the 15-point Gaza peace plan, stating that Israel will not withdraw its forces until Hamas is "genuinely" disarmed.
