Trump suggests renewed military operations against Iran

US President Donald Trump has indicated that the United States may launch a new military operation against Iran, potentially as early as Sunday, October 25. Speaking at a rally in Florida, Trump referred to the possibility of conducting another ‘little Epic Fury’, a term used to describe the extensive bombing campaign that began during the initial US-Israeli strikes against Iran in February.

Trump stated that Washington is weighing whether to pursue a rapid conclusion to the eight-month conflict through major attacks or to maintain pressure via naval blockades and sanctions. While he expressed openness to reaching a major agreement with Tehran, he also questioned whether Iranian leadership could be trusted to honor such a deal.

In response, Iranian military officials, including Chief of General Staff Ali Abdollahi, warned that the US Navy is incapable of re-entering Iranian territorial waters. Iranian authorities have threatened a wider response if hostilities resume, including potential strikes on digital infrastructure, data centers, and undersea communication cables.

The ongoing conflict has significantly impacted global energy markets, with Brent crude prices rising above $113 per barrel amid concerns over stability in the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab al-Mandeb strait.
