Trump threatens to bomb Oman over Strait of Hormuz-Iran deal FAST-MOVING

President Donald Trump has threatened to bomb Oman if the nation interferes with United States efforts to reach a deal with Iran regarding the Strait of Hormuz. During an interview with Fox News, Trump stated, “If Oman gets in the way, we’ll bomb the shit out of them,” referring to ongoing negotiations between Oman and Iran concerning maritime navigation and control of the vital waterway.

The Strait of Hormuz, a critical global energy shipping route, has been effectively blockaded by Iran since the outbreak of the Middle East war on February 28. While Iranian and Omani officials have been discussing a joint declaration for future shipping arrangements, Trump has maintained that the US holds total control over the strait and has previously suggested declaring it US territory.

Trump also called for Iran to surrender, telling journalist Trey Yingst that the country should “put up the white flag of surrender.” These aggressive statements come amid a period of intense conflict and as the US seeks to negotiate an end to the war and address Iran’s nuclear program.
