Trump unveils Qatar‑gifted, $4 billion Air Force One redesign

President Donald Trump displayed a newly refurbished Boeing 747 that the United States received as a gift from Qatar. The aircraft, intended to serve as a new Air Force One, was unveiled at a Washington‑area Air Force base and painted in a red, white and dark‑blue scheme that Trump said makes it a "luxurious ‘flying White House’… refined and just my taste".

The plane is valued at about $4 billion (¥645 billion). Its transfer has prompted criticism over possible security risks and constitutional issues, since the gift was accepted without the customary congressional approval process for foreign donations.
