Trump threatens strike on Iran's Pickaxe Mountain facility

U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened a potential strike on Pickaxe Mountain, a heavily fortified underground Iranian facility located near the Natanz uranium enrichment complex. Trump characterized the ongoing military engagement with Iran as a ‘military conflict’ rather than a war, describing it as ‘small potatoes’ for the United States.

Recent military escalations include U.S. strikes on approximately 60 Iranian targets near the Strait of Hormuz, targeting radar, air defense, and communication systems. Additionally, U.S. forces reportedly targeted three Iranian oil tankers in retaliation for ballistic missile attacks on American warships. One Iranian tanker near Kharg Island was reportedly struck by four U.S. missiles.

Humanitarian concerns have emerged following a U.S. missile strike on a wedding in the Sirik district of Hormozgan province, which reportedly killed at least four to five people and injured over 60. The conflict has resulted in at least 18 U.S. military fatalities. Meanwhile, the U.S. Treasury has sanctioned a Turkish bank, Golden Global, for allegedly facilitating financial transactions for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
