Trump’s economic approval rating hits record low as Latino business support plunges

A Marist poll finds that only 33 % of Americans approve of President Donald Trump’s handling of the economy, marking the lowest approval rating of his tenure and three points below former President Joe Biden’s all‑time low. The disapproval rating stands at 60 %, with 65 % of independents and 22 % of Republicans expressing disapproval. The poll also notes that 34 % of respondents consider gas prices a major financial strain.

Separately, a NBC News report indicates that support for Trump among Latino business owners has fallen sharply, dropping from 69 % to 39 % since his election. Business leaders cite the administration’s immigration policies and tariffs as key reasons for the shift, describing it as “buyer’s remorse.” The decline in backing from this demographic could influence the upcoming 2026 midterm elections.
