In contrast, investor‑economist Steve Rattner highlighted data showing a loss of 75,000 manufacturing jobs during Trump’s term, while about 625,000 were added under President Joe Biden. Rattner also noted that tariff revenue turned negative after a Supreme Court ruling, creating a $26 billion loss for the government.
