Trump's White House bunker cost estimated at $300 million

A detailed review of the White House renovation indicates that the subterranean bunker described by President Donald Trump is estimated to cost about $300 million. The bunker is part of a larger $600 million East Wing modernization, with roughly $307 million funded by public agencies such as the United States Secret Service and the White House Military Office, and $293 million from private sources. The project includes a six‑level underground complex featuring a military hospital, research facilities, hardened communications and drone defenses.

Separately, the Department of Justice has spent nearly $1 million on a giant banner displaying President Trump’s portrait and the slogan “Make America Safe Again” at its Washington, D.C., headquarters. The banner was part of an $892,192 beautification contract for the Robert F. Kennedy building, later supplemented by an additional $54,768. Produced by Llorente Enterprises, the banner is scheduled for removal at the end of August. Other federal agencies have installed similar banners in celebration of the nation’s 250th anniversary.
