Trunk(Hotel) to expand beyond Tokyo with new Sapporo property

Luxury boutique brand Trunk(Hotel) has announced its first expansion outside of Tokyo with the upcoming launch of Trunk(Hotel) Sapporo. Scheduled to open on September 17, 2027, the property will be located in the Odori district of Sapporo, occupying the 10th through 18th floors of the Sapporo Daibiru building.

The 18-storey hotel will feature 107 rooms, including 18 suites and 89 standard rooms, designed with a ‘Midcentury Folklore’ theme that incorporates regional wooden textures and local craft details. This new location will also host the brand’s first dedicated spa, Trunk(Bath House), which includes a 40-metre waterway, 10 communal bathing areas, saunas, and cold plunges.

Dining options at the property will include the first Sapporo location for the Michelin-recognised Sushi Saito, alongside an all-day dining restaurant and a lounge bar. Additional amenities will include three banquet halls, a chapel, and an entertainment studio featuring a private cinema and karaoke room.
