Truong Dinh collective quarter to be rebuilt into 30-story towers

The Truong Dinh collective quarter in Tuong Mai Ward, Hanoi, is slated for major redevelopment into two 30-story high-rise buildings featuring three basement levels. The project aims to replace the existing structures, which have been in use for over 50 years and have suffered severe degradation.

Technical assessments indicate that the current foundations and structures no longer meet safety and technical standards due to unauthorized expansions, structural cracks, and corrosion. The area currently houses 390 households, with a total resident population of 1,012. Significant safety concerns were noted, including a lack of automatic fire fighting systems and outdated electrical and water infrastructure.

The renovation and reconstruction process is expected to span from the third quarter of 2026 to the fourth quarter of 2029. Residents are expected to undergo on-site resettlement during the project.
