Truong Giang shares history of financial struggles and interrupted education

Vietnamese comedian Truong Giang has shared details regarding his difficult upbringing and interrupted education. Raised by a single father after his mother's early passing, Giang faced significant financial hardships that prevented him from completing his studies.

After failing to enter Dong Nai Pedagogical University, he enrolled in theater school to study acting and later directing. However, he was forced to leave both programs due to an inability to pay tuition fees. During this time, he also faced criticism from instructors regarding his artistic potential.

His career reached a turning point in 2007 when the late artist Huu Loc discovered him while he was working as an extra. This led to opportunities at the Nu Cuoi Moi stage. He later gained widespread recognition through collaborations with artist Hoai Linh and his breakout character, ‘Muoi Kho’.
