Truong Sa District schools hold opening ceremonies for new academic year

Primary schools across the Truong Sa District in Vietnam officially commenced the 2026-2027 academic year on September 5. Ceremonies were held simultaneously at various locations, including Song Tu Tay, Sinh Ton, Truong Sa, and Da Tay islands.

The opening events featured traditional ceremonies such as flag salutes, the national anthem, and the reading of congratulatory letters. To support the new school year, military officers and soldiers collaborated with schools and parents to prepare classrooms, decorate campuses with national flags and banners, and provide gifts to teachers and students.

Local officials, including Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Tien Tung of Song Tu Tay Island, emphasized that supporting education and providing optimal learning environments for children is a key responsibility of the military personnel stationed in these remote maritime areas.
