Truong Thao My stars in new VTV drama ‘Đội bóng nữ làng Xuân’

Actress Truong Thao My is gaining attention for her lead role in the VTV3 prime-time drama ‘Đội bóng nữ làng Xuân’ (The Women's Football Team of Xuan Village). The series follows Minh, a determined 19-year-old girl with a passion for football who faces significant opposition from her father, a strict school principal.

Despite family resistance and setbacks, Minh works to establish a local women's football team to pursue her professional dreams. To prepare for the role, Thao My, born in 2004 and originally from Lang Son, underwent intensive training with a coach to learn basic football skills and movement. She also studied vocal techniques with People's Artist Lan Huong to enhance her performance.

Observers have noted the contrast between Thao My's athletic, tomboyish character on screen and her feminine, elegant personal style in real life. This marks her first major long-term leading role on VTV.
