Trupanion enhances veterinary education program amid institutional stock shifts

Trupanion, Inc. has announced enhancements to its free, on-demand veterinary education program, Trupanion Certification. The refreshed course is designed to assist hospital teams in discussing medical care costs with pet owners. Since its launch in 2023, the program has been completed by more than 33,800 veterinary professionals across over 5,289 hospitals in North America. The updated curriculum includes role-based learning, interactive scenarios, and expanded information on pet medical insurance and direct payment models.

In recent financial disclosures, institutional investors have adjusted their positions in the company. First Trust Advisors LP reduced its holdings in Trupanion by 55% during the first quarter, leaving the firm with 33,122 shares. Conversely, Dimensional Fund Advisors LP increased its stake by 15.7%, and Parallel Advisors LLC significantly raised its position by 1,831.9%. Additionally, Trupanion Executive Vice President Steve Weinrauch sold 6,674 shares in early June at an average price of $22.00.
