Truro Pride 2026 holds solidarity march ahead of Lemon Quay festivities

On Saturday, July 18, Truro Pride 2026 will open with a peaceful solidarity march through the city, responding to a perceived rise in visible hate. Participants will gather at Hendra Park from 10 a.m. to create signs, hear community speakers at 11:15 a.m., and set off on the march at noon. The route will move through Truro city centre and finish at Lemon Quay, where the main Pride celebrations will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Cornwall Pride chief executive Matthew Kenworthy Gomes said the march aims to promote equality, dignity and human rights, emphasizing unity across the Cornish, English and British flags alongside the Pride flag. Police, local authorities and event partners are working with organizers to ensure safety and a family‑friendly atmosphere.
