Trust Bank launches AI tool for conversational transaction queries

Trust Bank has launched ‘Trust AI Ask’, a new AI-powered tool designed to allow customers to query their card transactions using natural language. Instead of manually filtering through transaction histories, users can ask specific questions such as “how much did I spend on groceries last month?” or request summaries of specific categories like transport.

The tool is capable of recognizing merchants, dates, and amounts to automatically calculate totals and spending counts. Trust Bank stated the feature was built to meet increasing consumer expectations for fast, intuitive, and conversational digital banking experiences. The bank noted that the launch follows the implementation of a GenAI-powered chatbot which has already reduced customer service query volumes by half.

According to Naveen Sethia, Chief Customer Officer at Trust Bank, the initiative aims to shift the burden of information organization from the customer to the bank. The bank plans to expand the AI Ask capability across additional banking services in the future.
