Truth Social sells expedited access to Trump posts to Wall Street firms

Trump Media and Technology Group has reportedly signed Bloomberg, Susquehanna International Group, and Jump Trading as customers for its 'Truth API' service. The subscription, which costs between $60,000 and $100,000 per month, provides subscribers with a timing advantage of approximately 50 milliseconds when accessing President Donald Trump’s Truth Social posts.

This speed advantage is highly valued by high-frequency trading firms that use automated algorithms to react to market-moving statements regarding trade, tariffs, and international conflicts. Critics and legal challengers argue the model is unethical and potentially unconstitutional, as it creates a financial barrier to accessing information from a sitting president.

Legal actions are already underway. Intercept Media and the Freedom of the Press Foundation filed a lawsuit in August to prevent the White House from using Truth Social for official announcements while a paid feed exists. Additionally, Senators Elizabeth Warren and Adam Schiff have called for a Securities and Exchange Commission investigation into the matter.

Trump Media defended the service as an industry-standard API product with significant demand. A White House spokesperson stated that the President is not directly involved in investment decisions and acts in the public interest.
