Truxton Extreme released for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC

Clear River Games and Tatsujin have launched Truxton Extreme, the first new entry in the classic shoot‑'em‑up series in 38 years. Created by original designer Masahiro Yuge, the game brings the 1988 arcade title into fully rendered 3D graphics with new boss battles and a range of modes, including Story, Arcade, Heart Starter, Team co‑op, Arena time‑trial, and Pipiruville village‑building.

The title is available digitally and physically on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam and GOG. A Digital Deluxe Edition adds three DLC packs with extra ships and 33 soundtrack tracks, while a collector‑focused Thunder Master Edition includes a hardcover art book, a 128‑page manga, two soundtrack CDs, and exclusive coasters. Prices start at US$24.99 for the standard digital version. A launch trailer highlighting the game's features has been released online.
