Trylinks launches AI character telephone service beta

Trylinks Co., Ltd. has launched a paid beta for ‘Saki Mirai Denwa,’ a service that allows users to have telephone conversations with an AI character named ‘Saki Mirai.’ The AI character’s voice is generated based on the influencer Chiyan, who has approximately 400,000 followers across TikTok and Instagram.

The service is designed to allow users to speak casually about their day, successes, or grievances. It does not require a dedicated app; users can connect via their standard mobile phones after registering through a web interface and SMS verification. The beta is limited to 100 participants aged 18 and older.

Operating on a ticket-based system rather than a monthly subscription, a single ticket provides approximately five minutes of conversation for 980 yen. The company aims to use this limited beta to test the transition of AI characters from visual media to interactive conversational tools.
