Trymax secures multi-million-dollar agreement with Applied Optoelectronics
Trymax Semiconductor Equipment has entered into a multi-year, multi-million-dollar supply agreement with Applied Optoelectronics, Inc. (AOI). The contract is designed to support AOI’s in-house fabrication of Indium Phosphide (InP) lasers, which are utilized in optical transceivers for data center connectivity to power AI applications.
Under the terms of the agreement, Trymax will supply its Asher and UV curing systems. These tools are intended to assist in the chip-making process by etching surfaces, treating materials, and removing residues. The equipment is specifically capable of handling fragile InP wafers ranging from three to six inches while maintaining production yields.
