TS Galaxy and Kaizer Chiefs face Carling Knockout clash

TS Galaxy and Kaizer Chiefs are set to compete in a Carling Knockout first-round match at FNB Stadium. TS Galaxy chairman Tim Sukazi expressed confidence ahead of the fixture, noting that his team maintains a 100% record against Kaizer Chiefs in cup competitions, including victories in the 2019 Nedbank Cup final and a 2022 last-32 clash.

Kaizer Chiefs enter the match seeking to break a five-match winless streak and recover from a recent exit from the CAF Confederation Cup at the hands of Zambia’s Red Arrows FC. Player Reeve Frosler stated that the team intends to use the match as momentum building for the upcoming Soweto Derby against Orlando Pirates. Both clubs face pressure to perform, with TS Galaxy having lost their last three Betway Premiership matches.
