Sarawak man arrested for fatal stabbing of five-year-old nephew

A 50-year-old man has been arrested after fatally attacking his five-year-old nephew in Sibu, Sarawak, Malaysia. The suspect, who had been released from prison two months prior, was living with his sister.

The incident occurred on August 28 while the boy's mother was at work and his grandmother was briefly in the restroom. The suspect allegedly used a traditional parang to strike the child in the neck. Despite being rushed to the hospital, the boy succumbed to his injuries. Police are currently investigating the motive behind the attack.
