Tsai Yi-yu launches joint campaign headquarters in Liujiao

Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Chiayi County Magistrate candidate Tsai Yi-yu held a joint campaign headquarters launch in Liujiao Township on the morning of the 24th. The event included candidates for Liujiao Township Chief Huang Cheng-kai and County Councilor Huang Yu-hui, with support from Chiayi County Magistrate Weng Chang-liang and Legislator Chen Kuan-ting.

Tsai outlined several local development promises, including the promotion of rural rezoning in Liujiao to increase residential land availability for younger generations. He also discussed infrastructure projects such as the upcoming bidding for the Suantou Bridge, which has secured over 400 million TWD in additional funding, and the ongoing remediation of the Liujiao drainage system to mitigate flooding issues.

Tsai emphasized the strategic importance of Liujiao due to its proximity to the Southern Taiwan Science Park in Taibao. He noted that with TSMC expanding its presence and investing heavily in Chiayi, the goal is to attract the science park's workforce to reside in Liujiao, thereby boosting the local economy and supporting the establishment of public childcare centers.
