TSB President confirms stability of Turkey's Private Pension System

Ahmet Yaşar, President of the Association of Insurance Companies of Türkiye (TSB), stated that recent developments in the fund markets have not caused liquidity issues within the Private Pension System (BES). He noted that there has been no unusual behavior or surge in withdrawal requests from participants following recent market shifts.

The concerns arose after the Capital Markets Board of Türkiye (SPK) announced the liquidation of 131 investment funds belonging to seven portfolio management companies, including Tera, Pusula, Hedef, Atlas, A1, Pardus, and Bulls Portföy Yönetimi AŞ.

Yaşar emphasized that investment funds and pension investment funds are distinct structures. He highlighted that pension funds are governed by robust technical, legal, and supervisory mechanisms, reinforcing the stability of the long-term savings system.
