Tsegyal Chukya Dranyi calls for Tibetan unity in Mundgod

Tsegyal Chukya Dranyi, Kalon of the Department of Religion and Culture for the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), has called for unity and solidarity among Tibetans in Mundgod, India. During a visit to the Doeguling Tibetan Settlement, Dranyi outlined the priorities of the 17th Kashag, stating its primary responsibility is to fulfill the aspirations of the Dalai Lama.

Dranyi emphasized the importance of maintaining hope for Tibetans living within Tibet and pledged that the Kashag would respond firmly to derogatory remarks made against the Dalai Lama. Regarding the issue of the Dalai Lama’s reincarnation, he noted that the administration will continue to seek support from the United States and 38 other countries that have expressed backing for the Tibetan position.

Additionally, Dranyi stated that cooperation with the Government of India will be strengthened to ensure the security of the Dalai Lama. He committed to operating the Kashag within the law, ensuring fairness across different religious traditions and regions while engaging respectfully with Tibetan democratic institutions.
