Tseung Kwan O: Man found dead in sea near Waterfront Park

A man was found dead in the waters near Tseung Kwan O on the morning of May 23. Emergency services, including marine police and fire services, responded to reports of a person floating in the sea near the North Bridge of Tseung Kwan O Waterfront Park, close to Tai Chee Sha.

Rescue teams successfully recovered the man, but upon inspection, he was confirmed to have passed away at the scene. Police have cordoned off the sea area and the nearby shoreline to conduct an investigation. The case is currently being treated as a ‘discovery of body,’ and authorities are working to identify the deceased and determine the circumstances surrounding his presence in the water. An autopsy will be required to establish the official cause of death.
